Mira's pov

My exam was finally over. I came out of my campus and found Atharv standing near his car.

"Waiting for someone?"- i asked him.

"The wait is over...."- he said with a smirk.

Blush crept through my cheeks. He was waiting for me.

"Exams are over....now i won't let you leave my party so easily.."

"Party?"- i asked being confused.

"I have thrown a pool party for you"- he said.

I felt happy and sad at the same time. Atharv is so caring and gives me so much importance. Today is my last day of exam, that's why he arranged a party for me. I have imagined my future with him, but my parents has destroyed my every dreams.

"C'mon Mira....what are you waiting for.."- Atharv opened the door for me.

I immediately entered.

"Now switch off your mobile"

"What?"- i asked him.

He snatched my mobile from my hand and shoved into his pocket.

"We will only enjoy tonight....no phone calls and no hurry"- he said to me.

I gave a defeated smile.

The party was going in full swing. After a long time I'm really enjoying. Atharv took me to the dance floor. We both started to move in rhythm. The music has turned soft. Atharv removed few hair strands from my face. I stared at him and our eyes met.

"I miss you Mira...leave him and come back to me"- he said with a painful voice.

My heart shook so much after hearing him. Tears gathered into my eyes.

"I want to but i can't....mom and dad will get hurt if i do something like that..."- i mumbled with a shaky tone.

He wiped my tears.

"I can't leave without you Mira....I'm going to Goa next week.....come with me please,,,noone will know..."- he cupped my face gently.

I kept staring at him in so much confusion. I really want to go with him but at the same time my morals are stopping me in some way. The ugliest truth is I'm married.

"Please baby..."- He bent more closer to my face.

Our lips are inches apart. I moved back immediately.

"Bye Atharv....thanks for this evening..."- i almost ran away from there.

I'm feeling so messed up right now. Some kind of heaviness grew inside me. I'm feeling extremely annoyed with myself.

I reached Anurag's home after half an hour. As soon as i entered a very delicious aroma reached my nostrils. I walked inside only to find Anurag in the kitchen. He turned his face and smiled broadly at me.

"How is your exam? I'm sure you nailed it....now go and take a quick shower....i have prepared something for you"- he said so enthusiastically.

I felt like someone just slapped so hard on my face when i looked at the decorations of the inside.

I can see everywhere only the things of my likings. I entered the bedroom and find my teddy whom i like to hug during my sleep. The bed is looking so fresh. He has changed the bed cover and the pillow covers. My books are properly arranged to the shelf. In addition i can see a chair and desk for my study. A new table lamp was also there exactly of my favourite color. A small fish bowl is also residing on the new desk and a small angel fish was playing inside the boul.

The curtains are also new. A small air cooler is also present in the room. I went near the small cupboard and opened it. It has everything which i use on a daily basis. Everything is new. He has bought everything new for me.

"I know Mira, i can't give you the life which you are habituated in....but i just tried to atleast give you the basic comfort....i can't afford an ac....that's why i bought this cooler...i saw you sweating through the whole night....i don't want your study to get hampered in any way....."- Anurag said while standing behind me.

I stared at him blankly for few seconds. And then i slapped him hard.

Anurag's pov

The slap came in an unexpected way. I was not prepared for it at all. My head tilted back and i stared at her in shock.

"What do you think huh??? You can win my heart by arranging all these??? What do you trying to show?? That noone knows me better than you....what you want to proove??? That you are a great human being and I'm a selfish person???"- she yelled with so much hate.

I was stunned. I kept staring at her with extreme shock.

"Look Mr. Anurag Chatterjee...this is the last time I'm telling you this, i will never love you.....you do not match my standards...no matter at what extent you tried to win my heart but i will always look at you as our family servant.....do you get that??"

Her every word stabbed my heart. For the first time in my life my tears fell infront of her.

"You have ruined my life completely...only looking at your face give me utter disgustness...stop applying all these tactics...."- she said by showing the things which i have bought from the morning by walking in the direct hit of sun.

"I was just trying to make you happy"- i said in a blank tone.

"I will be only happy when you will be out of my life"- she said by turning her head opposite of mine.

I smiled in pain. I stared at the room. Only god knows how much effort i have given from the morning to buy these things. I was running from store to store just to bergain for things.

Now it felt like that all these arrangements are mocking at me. I slowly walked out of the room. I found her throwing the teddy bear out of the room and then closing the door with a bang.

Thank god that aunty and tiya is not at home. Otherwise the situation will get worse. I went inside the kitchen. I have made Biriyani for her. She likes Biriyani so much.

My heart is crumbling in pain. I decided to have a walk alone. I need to think properly.

I was walking in the road cluelessly. I don't want her to love me back. I just want to see her happy. She told me clearly that she will be only happy if i get away from her life. I can't do this right now. Mr. Dhanraj has bind me with a promise. I have to talk to him. She is not happy with me. I can't see her like this.

My trance broke when my phone buzzed. I picked up the call.

"Hello, Anurag.....please come beta....your uncle is not well...I'm taking him to the hospital"- Mrs Dhanraj was crying in the phone.

"What happened aunty?"- i almost screamed in panick.

"I don't know.....i have called Mira but she is not picking up my calls...please come beta...he is unconscious..."- she is crying profusely.

"Don't worry aunty....I'm on my way..."

I was sitting in the doctor's cabin.

"You are his son-in-law right?"- Doctor asked me.

"Yes sir..."

"I think noone knows that he is suffering from lung cancer.."

"Yes,,, he only told me"- i replied.

"Truthfully speaking....his cancer is in the final stage....we will try whatever is on our hand...Mr Dhanraj wants to see you"- The doctor told me.

I went inside the hospital room where he was lying in the bed. I reached near his bed. He is looking so pale. He has a oxygen mask on his face. He slowly removed it a little and then held my hand.

"Anu....rag....save...my...company.....someone.....is....trapping...me....find....out....the....person.....and...take care...of....mira....and...my....wife..."

He told all these with very difficulty. I gently rubbed his forehead.

"Please try to sleep Mr. Dhanraj....i will take care of everything"- i assured him.

"Papa....call...me papa..."- he said with a painful smile.

I held my head. This old man is really my father. The day he picked me up from the road and asked my age and name, i really felt that my father has returned again from heaven.

"Sleep Papa...I will take care of everything"- i said to him.

"I know....beta....that's...why I'm....not.....in...pain....anymore...i..can....sleep...peacefully...you will...achieve everything one day....you will be one of the most...successful man...of..this country.....remember my words beta.."- he said while placing his hand above my head an closed his eyes.

I held his hand and placed it on his chest. I set the oxygen mask properly on his mouth.

I walked out of his room. I need to find out the truth. Why Mr Dhanraj was continuously saying that someone is trying to trap him. I have to find that person.

As soon as i came out in the lobby, i found Mira sitting beside her mother. She lifted her eyes and our eyes got connected for few seconds. I averted my gaze immediately.

"How is he?"- Mrs Dhanraj asked me.

"He is fine...He is sleeping...please go home aunty, I'm here...i will manage everything"- i told her.

She doesn't wants to go but i insist her continuously and told her that she will also become ill like this. Finally she agreed to go. Mira was silent through all the time.

"Aunty, take Mira with you.....she can stay with you few days....I'm sure you feel better"- i told her.

I felt Mira's shocking gaze at me for once. But i didn't look at her. Finally they both left the hospital.

I bought the medicines and also finished the rest of the formalities through the whole day. They will discharge Mr. Dhanraj tomorrow. I decided to visit the office for some time.

After reaching the office, i have gone through the recent deals of Dhanraj industries. I really need to find the cheater.

I found two names in the list. He was recently working with two companies. One is Kundra enterprise and another one is Thakur industries.

Kundra means Mira's friend Atharv's father's company but who is the Thakur? I have to find out the details soon.

My head was throbbing in pain. I didn't eat anything from yesterday. Including this the sleepless night. I decided to go home and just have few hours nap. Then i will again go back to the hospital.

I entered my apartment and was shocked to see the lights on. May be aunty and Tiya has returned. But they are supposed to come back 1 week later.

My eyes widened in shock when i find Mira coming out of our bedroom. She came near me but didn't look at me.

"Go and take a shower....I'm arranging the plates"- she stated.

I was really shocked. I don't know what is going on. I kept staring at her in utter shock. She was arranging the plates in the dinner table. She turned her face at me.

"Why are you standing like a statue?? I told you to take a quick shower Anurag"

My name from her mouth is enough to melt my heart and at the same time increased the beating. She has a spell in her. How can she always managed to make me mesmerised. I have no shame to accept that she has wrapped me around her little finger.

I immediately walked inside the washroom to take a shower. Again i smiled like a fool. This girl is the biggest weakness of my life. Noone has that much effect on me.

I came out and wore my t shirt and trouser. I moved towards the dinner table and i have found her serving the biriyani which i have prepared last night.

"I don't think that it's in a good condition"- i said to her.

"Its good...i have preserved it last night"- she said in a low voice.

She is not meeting my eyes.

We both started to eat silently. This is the first time we are having dinner together. I was staring at her continuously but her eyes were rooted on her plates.

"Thank you"- she mumbled softly.

I choked on my food. I gulped a huge amount of water. She stared at me with shock and then she lowered her eyes. I don't know for what she is saying thank you.

"I'm sorry for my behaviour....."- she again mumbled.

"It's okay Mira..."

"No it's not okay..."- she yelled and stood up from her chair.

I stared at her in shock.

"Why you always go that much soft on me like my father??? You should also scold me sometimes like my mother.....and who told you to waste your money like that??? You do not even have a good shirt and you are buying air cooler for me??? This is not good"

I was staring at her with so much shock. She has even noticed that i don't have a good shirt!!

"Don't stare at me like this Anurag...we are going for a shopping tomorrow and you will return this air cool

er....i don't need this....your windows are large enough to provide me cool air..."- she walked towards the sink by grabbing our plate.

I stood really dumbfounded.

I can never understand this girl!!!
