Anurag's pov

I entered the bedroom and found her drying her hair. I stood in shock for sometimes. My heart is hammering so loud. She stared at me and frowned after seeing my condition.

"What happened?"- she asked me.

I stayed silent for some time. Unable to form even a single word. How can it be true? Mira can never do that. She has some ethics in her life. I know her from her childhood.

She came infront of me and held my hand. I averted my gaze in pain.

"Hey,,Anurag.... now you are scaring me, just tell me what happened..."- she tried to turn my face towards her by holding my chin.

I stared into her eyes.

"A lady just called in your phone and she asked to resend your urine sample tomorrow for pregnancy test....the sample you provided yesterday has been destroyed......and...."

"Wait wait wait......what???? What the hell are you saying Anurag? Pregnancy test?? Oh my god...you have mistaken something.....i never provided any sample....."- Mira almost shouted out.

My all clouds vanished into thin air. I smiled like a fool. I don't want any other proof.

Within a second i pulled her waist and hugged her tightly. May be for the first time, i dared to do something like that.

I pulled her closer and engulfed her fully. She is just a handful. I smiled while burying her on my chest.

The thing which made me more happy was her heartbeat. I felt it too. She is also shocked i guess. She never expected something like that from me.

"Anu...rag....."- she stuttered.

I immediately left her. Some kind of awkward silence came between us. And i walked out of the bedroom smiling like a fool.

After having dinner, i picked my pillow and was going out but she stopped me.

"Anurag, please, don't embarrass me like this....we can share the bed"

Shock would be the understatement for me. I stared at her in confusion. She smiled softly. She snatched the pillow from my hand and went near the bed.

After placing it to the right side, she giggled gently.

"I always prefer the left side....now come..."- she showed me the place beside her.

I gulped hard. It's too much for me to handle. In one way i felt like to not rush like this but my newly explored side pushed me hard to join her in the bed. I literally felt goosebumps when she laid down beside me.

She smiled at me like an angel. I was totally under her charm. I smiled back. We both were staring at each other silently without any word.

"You are very beautiful Mira"- i spoke my heart without hesitation.

She bite her lips and smiled broadly.

"Your smile is so heavenly"- i said.

"You are making me uncomfortable..."- she blushed.

Oh God! My heart has sped up when i found the red tinge on her cheeks. I moved uncomfortably in my position.

A different kind of urge played over my body and mind. I felt like to hold her near my chest and play with her locks. To caress her face, nose, lips. I want to hold her hand and kiss her soft palms.

"Anurag...."- she called my name.

It felt like a music to my ear. I kept staring at her with my dreamy eyes.

"Can we go on a vacation for few days?"- she asked me.

"I will go wherever you want me to go"- i said by staring deeply into her orbs.

"Okay, then we can go to Puri.....this is the best sea beach from our city"- she said so happily.

"And also less costly.."- she said.

I felt little sad. If i have money then i would take her to the best sea beach's across the world. I decided then and there, if one day i would be successful in making money, then i will give her a world tour.

"Okay good night...I'm so excited"- she said just like an excited kid.

I was awake after so long. I was only looking at her beautiful sleeping face with admiration. I will work hard day and night fulfill all her dreams one day.

Next day, i went to meet Inaya. First i apologised to her for the last night. She smiled a little and accepted my apology.

"Inaya, I'm going on a vacation with Mira for 3 days....i won't be able to attend the upcoming meetings...please represent Raichand industry in my absence"- i requested her.

"Don't worry, i will manage....come back soon, i don't trust this Atharv at all...he will again try to do something...just give me the keys of lockers"

I searched my pocket but i didn't find the bunch. I frowned in tension.

"I think i have left the keys at home..."- i immediately moved away from there.

The keys are very important. Every single vital documents are at locker. Only i have those keys. I just wish that it didn't fall on road.

As soon as i reach home, i started to search madly every corner of the house. Suddenly Mira came infront of me and smiled.

"Anurag you dropped some key in our bedroom"

I took a sigh of relief.

"Thank god...i got so scared for few seconds"- i took the keys from Mira.

2 days later.

We reached Puri in the early morning. We came by train. Mira was sleeping through the whole night by keeping her head in my lap while i stay awake and looked after our luggage.

We took an auto after getting down and moved towards our hotel. I have booked a hotel near the sea beach.

Mira is looking so excited. I was continuously staring at her without even blinking. She is saying so many things and I'm listening everything and enjoying her presence near me.

Gosh! If she really knew about my craziness for her. I'm sure sho will be scared after listening my mad heartbeat. She has no idea at what extent I'm mesmerized with her presence.

After keeping our luggage to the hotel, we both reached the sea beach. Mira ran towards the sea. She pulled me with her. We both stood on bare feet, feeling the water.

Mira held my hand and placed her head on my shoulder.

"I'm so happy Anurag....."- she said by staring into my eyes.

How can i say that I'm the one who is feeling so much lucky right now. I always dreamt about her and now my dreams are fulfilled.

We went to the temple in evening. We both looked at the architecture being stunned. We walked bare footed towards the Jagannath temple.

We walked through the stairs. I stared at Mira. She has a peaceful smile on her lips.

We entered the temple and started to visit every small temples inside. Mira has a great knowledge about everything. She started to narrate so many mythological stories and i heard with so much interest.

We stood infront of the main Krishna Rukmini temple. A priest came out and blessed us. Suddenly the priest gave me some vermilion and told me to put on Mira's forehead.

The day of our marriage flashed in my mind.

I did what the priest told me to do.

"Now bind this thread to that banyan tree....after 5 years come back together and open the thread...your biggest wish will be fulfilled and you will stay forever with each other like Krishna and Rukmini....remember only Rukmini stayed with lord Krishna forever because she is the re-incarnation of Adi lakshmi....but Radha always cried for her whole life because she was a cursed soul...she was cursed to stay away from lord Krishna.....that's why every married couple should worship Krishna Rukmini, not Krishna Radha"- The priest said.

Mira and I stared at each other silently for sometime. I can see something in her eyes but i failed to decode her eyes.

We walked together near the banyan tree. We both bind the threads together by closing our eyes. I don't know what Mira wished but i wished for her safety. I always want her to be safe.

When i opened my eyes i found her clearing her tears. She wiped her tears so fast but i noticed it clearly.

She smiled nervously at me.

"Do you really believe what the priest told?"- she asked me while changing the topic.

"Why were you crying Mira?"- i asked her.

She was also shocked. She moved away her gaze immediately.

"Nothing...."- she replied.

"Tell me...."- i stopped her by slightly grabbing her wrist.

But with my surprise she shook her head vigorously and more tears slipped from her eyes.

All of a sudden she hugged me tightly and cried out.

I was really stunned. I have never expected something like that from her.

"Hey Mira....look at me...what happened?"

I kept on asking her but she kept on weeping like a kid. I was really dumbfounded. I don't know what happened all of a sudden that she reacted like that.

We came out of the temple. I didn't ask her anything further. Her crying has now stopped.

When we reached the hotel, i tried to cheer her mood.

"So, after 5 years we will return together right? Let me guess, you will complete your research and may be you become Professor Mira Chatterjee..."- i said to her.

A small smile appeared on her lips.

"And what about you?"- she asked me.

"Mmm....i don't know....may be i will stay the same Anurag Chatterjee who is working on your father's company"- i said to her.

The next two days passed in bliss. We enjoyed a lot. These 3 days are the most blissful days of my life.

Finally the day has come when we will return. We reached the station and took a taxi. Mira is looking little silent.

We reached our house but i heard some shouting and screaming from my apartment. I immediately rushed inside only to find few police officers were searching our apartment by throwing everything aside.

Aunty and tiya ran towards me and cried out furiously.

"Bhai.....they are telling that you did some fraudulent against some Kundra enterprise.....they are pressing charges against you and searching for some documents...."- Tiya said in panic.

I was stunned.

"What...are....."

My sentence stucked in my mouth with a tight slap across my face by one of the officer.

He grabbed my collar and pulled me hard.

"You fucker....bastrad....tell us where you have hidden the documents...tell son of a bitch...."- The officer shouted at my face.

"Which document are you talking about???"- i yelled at the officer.

Another slap landed on my cheeks.

"If you keep telling lie, we don't mind to apply third degree.....low class shit...."- the officer spat on my face.

"Mind your tongue...i did nothing.."- i replied angrily.

Tiya and aunty were crying furiously.

Suddenly i found Mira going inside the bedroom. After a while she came out with a packet on her hand.

"Officer, these are some documents.....he gave me this few days back and told me to keep it safely....i don't know what it is but i have heard him speaking with someone on phone about this document"

I stared at Mira being confused.

"Mira....what....."- my words were lost in midway.

I found Atharv entering our house. But the next thing he did make me absolutely speechless.

He hugged Mira tightly.

"Thank god you are fine Mira......i was so scared when you went with this abuser"- Atharv said by cupping her face.

Mira also held his hand gently.

"He blackmailed me so much, otherwise i won't go with him ever..."- Mira cried silently.

The officer came near Mira.

"What ha

ppened Mam....did he abuse you?"- The officer asked her.

"Yes......he married to me forcefully by manipulating my father and he tried to rape me twice..."

I stood absolutely frozen after hearing her allegations.
